Rolex Yachtmaster
Discussion
Anyone have one, what's the general consensus?
Looking at an 05 model.
Was into GMT and Subs but a few people I know have them, Yachtmaster I hadn't really come across too many of.
Currently got a TAG Kirium, Apple Watch and some dodgy Bangkok Breitlings but looking to treat myself and always wanted a Rolex.
I'd love to hear of peoples thoughts and experiences before I spend the £££

HAd one for a few years, great watch.
Dresses up and down as it's a professional series watch with a Pt bezel.
The only thing to be wary of is the bezel and insert, it is fairly tough but the 'blasted' part in between the polished numbers can end up polish too if care isn't taken. And they are around £1,000 to replace as both parts are solid Pt.

Do you know why it's called Rolesium and not Platinum?
Or why the bi-Metals are called Rolesor?
From WIKIOr why the bi-Metals are called Rolesor?
In 1997, Rolex released the Yacht-Master in Rolesium, a term patented by Rolex in 1932 which gives the Yacht-Master a stainless steel and platinum construction; the bezel and dial are platinum, while the case, band, crown, etc. are stainless steel. This model is also known as the Platinum Yacht-Master.
