So after thinking I will patent side wear of wrist for ergonomic reasons ie quicker reading of time it seems someone beat me to it.http://www.google.com/patents/US2187205
Does anyone know of such a watch even if vintage?
I purchased a timex ironman race trainer pro which is designed for side wear and have to say its better than my 10k rolex or other watches.
Any other options?

Common in pilots' watches so you can read the time with your hands on the controls. IWC had one years ago, I'm sure others too.

Some Breitlings had the UTC module, which does the same thing.

Gruen took out the patent and did a couple of drivers watches called curvex:

They date back to the early to late 30s from memory.
