Does anyone know of a sensibly priced Omega Snoopy Watch, the latest one. I would happily trade a Green Submariner, or Black/ Blue GMT towards one. I have seen them at 12K but that is to strong.

I stumbled on this last night , when looking for a PAM, http://www.swisswatchtrader.co.uk/watches/omega/sp...
I don't know the seller in anyway and would be a bit cautious as one watch on that site worries me no end.

Watchfinder have one, POA though.

There are a few on chrono24, this one from a trusted seller in London is £8800.

The asking prices are double what Omega sold them for.

The SAS Sub that is listed on the site as POA. The engraving on the watch is SHOCKING I would be surprised if it was done by Timpsons on the dog tag machine let alone Rolex.

These are not issued watches that have been used in combat, they are watches sold to serving members of the relevant institution, great if you are a Air Sea Rescue pilot or in the SRR, maybe a bit naff otherwise? Especially with the SAS fantasist conertations.
I think, but am not 100% sure that Rolex refer to these "specials" by the name they are made to, the Rolex service paperwork calls this a 14060M, the one I have seen and KNOW to be genuine they refer to it as a RSAF Rolex, they do NOT use the regular product code.

This watch has a service number engraved, would you really do that if you had been in the SAS?

All the genuine regimental stuff from Rolex comes with a certificate as given to the original owner, this does not.

So we have what I am sure is a genuine 14060M, worth in good condition what £3-£4K, how much does this dubious engraving add to the watchs price? £28,000, yup it is on Chrono24 for £32,000.

I am not saying this is fake or phoney, just that a lot does not add up, so that would make me a bit supicious of his other stock.

Paul @ Swisswatchtrader is reliable. I'd buy off him personally without any issue.

Just setting the record straight nikaiyo2.. You are correct that they are not issued watches, but serving members of the UKSF have had the opportunity to buy these watches from Breitling, Omega and Rolex at big discounted prices.

Having owned a few of these i can conform that Rolex called these "special order" watches and like the Breitling and Omega they all came with the soldiers ZAP number and regiment on the case back. It goes without saying these watches stay at home.

You are correct that all of the Rolex UKSF watches have UKSF printed on the rolex warrantee card and a certificate or additional paperwork from Rolex to the solider. This particular watch even has the personal signed letter from Rolex to the soldier.

There has been only 3 number 22 SAS orange hand explorer watches out of the 100 made that been sold on the open market all selling between 20-30K There are only 9 of these 23 SAS and engraving is poor in comparison to others done by Rolex but these were made up of the last stock 14060m subs, making them the very last of the non ceramic submariners and very collectible to the right person.

I have been buying watches for over twenty years and i don't know anyone who has had a bad experience with Paul from "Swiss watch trader" and there is no need to be cautious.....
