Damasko Watches
Discussion
Personally, I like the look of the steel.
I've owned a Damasko and very highly recommend the brand. The build quality is utterly superb. Plus Damasko is brimming with technical innovations. If Damasko was marketed like a typical Swiss brand, then I reckon you'd be paying double the price for this level of build quality and innovation.

I have two Damaskos and both are great watches. One is nearly ten years old and still looks almost new thanks to the hardened case.

Well the process of buying my sinn from them was smooth sailing. Certainly gives me pause for thought about sending it there for servicing mind you.Mezzanine said:
CardShark - still enjoy your DA36? Any minus points?
I can't comment with any great personal authority on how well the DAMEST coating stands up to knocks as my 36 isn't a daily wearer however it still looks exactly the same as it did when I bought it and the coating is supposed to be much tougher than the ice-hardened steel that forms the substrate. It's a versatile watch when it comes to straps, I've a few NATOS and a couple of Di-Modell/Damasko straps that I use with it, and it's very well regulated. I also find that of all the watches I have ever owned it's the easiest to read, the black case along with the black dial helps with the contrast against the white minute and hour hands.
I've since bought a DA44 to join the other two so you could say that I'm a fan of the brand
- the lume could be a little bit better, though I'm splitting hairs

I’d go steel.
I've been craving the black on and off for years as I think it really accentuates the minimal dial colours but having having seen a picture of the steel on a bracelet has put another option on the table!Gassing Station | Watches | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
