Ladies Rolex Advice

Hello chaps. I would like to get a Rolex for my wife's birthday.
Requirements:
1). Pinkish face - OK, many different colours are available.
2). Little diamond stones instead of hour markers. These are referred to as diamond markers
3). The more delicate bracelet with the smaller links (instead of the submariner type). This is the Jubilee bracelet.
4). Steel body (i.e. not yellow) - OK
5). Waterproof enough to enable swimming etc. It will be worn every day. Oyster cases are waterproof to 100m
From Google browsing, I think the watch is a "Lady Datejust".
Is this correct? Yes.
If so, when do I need to order? Her birthday is mid-October. Are these like Submariners and I have zero chance of getting one in time? You should have plenty of time.
Any recommendations for vendors?
Many thanks in advance as always chaps.
Comments applied above on the features. Dominic Hackett on here can help. Iconic Watches will also be able to help. Plenty of choice on their website with this: http://www.iconicwatches.co.uk/rolex-lady-datejust... almost matching your requirements exactly (pink mother of pearl dial rather than the salmon pink).Requirements:

I bought my wife one, albeit with the blue face - very nice watch!
We picked ours up from an AD in Milan and got a very good deal - might be worth investigating if you fancy combining with a weekend in Italy. Happy to dig out the dealers details if you're interested
Nice idea! Incidentally, Iconic often source from Italy. My Tudor Pelagos (sourced from Iconic before Tudor relaunched in the UK) originated in Milan. We picked ours up from an AD in Milan and got a very good deal - might be worth investigating if you fancy combining with a weekend in Italy. Something like this?
It's a Rolex Datejust ref 179174 you are probably looking for with a Jubilee Bracelet. The rrp for this is £6150 with the pink diamond dial. If you are looking for a new one I would ring round a few dealers sharpish as a highly likely although only at present rumoured price rise is imminent due to the weak pound (Rolex like to keep prices similar across countries to keep their authorised dealers happy)

Thanks guys. I'll order this week to beat price rise.
Yes, I am sure this is the style she wants. I tried to push her towards a men's stainless sub/sea dweller/GMT as I thought it would look cool. this is definitely the one she wants. However, she needs to decide between mother of pearl or salmon pink and we need to see if she wants 26mm, 28mm or 31mm.
Thank goodness she doesn't like diamond bezels!!!
I'm not going to add anything....but my better half was in the same boat re: sizeYes, I am sure this is the style she wants. She went for the 26mm, and I totally agree. The 28/31 just look odd in our opinion, although they do open up more colours and variants
FWIW I'm pretty sure Mallorys in Bath have that Salmon variant in 26mm in stock. Might be worth a call to confim if you are interested

That is 100% it!!
Thank you for the tip about price rise. I will try and buy it tomorrow.
Do you just go to the nearest authorised dealer from the website? Is the rrp on the configurator what you get charged or should you ring around?
Thanks again. Rolex pricing seems a murky world and so I thought i would ask the experts.
I would rind around a few local AD's and see if they have it in stock, you are looking for the 26mm 179174 in white gold/steel (Rolesor) on a jubilee bracelet with the fluted bezel and pink diamond dial ( I know it's a mouthful but there are loads of choices.) You may get a little off a watch in stock but that is unlikely in London. If anyone has a stock one I would buy it now, ( the euro price for that watch is around £7000 converted and the consensus is there could be a 10-15% rise around the start of Aug. If you have to order it I would pay in full now on the premise that they would honour the current price as usually if the price goes up before delivery they will charge the new price. Thank you for the tip about price rise. I will try and buy it tomorrow.

As for the size choice it's a personal thing but the 26mm does suit every occasion.

Many thanks for all the advice chaps!!!
Italy could be a superb shout (road trip!)
I had a quick look this morning but couldn't find the receipt - I think I paid around eur 7.5k (although on an Oyster bracelet) if you want to compare vs London - you should be able to get a bit of discount off list either way Italy could be a superb shout (road trip!)

EURCHF hasn't moved around as much as GBPCHF the past year so might be less likely to see a large price jump in Italy

I bought a Lady DateJust for my OH's 40th. We picked the style she wanted by visiting stores. Once we had the model number tied down, I checked with Watches of Switzerland at Heathrow T5 whether they could get one. They actually had one in stock which they transferred for me (can't remember if it came from another terminal or a landside store). I then booked a cheap day trip flight on BA and bought it on departure. Saved myself the 20% VAT which on a £6k watch is worth having and more than offset the flight costs. Ironically I just flew to Edinburgh for £70 as they didn't distinguish between Domestic and International flights for VAT purposes, think they may have closed that loophole since. If you get a Heathrow Rewards card you also get some pretty meaningful points worth about a hundred quid for next time you're flying.
