Pens, Dunhill etc.

I'm tempted to treat myself to a nice pen if I can get myself over the fear of losing the bloody thing.
It will be ballpoint or rollerball as a fountain pen isn't really suitable.
Where I'm unsure is on quite where each manufacturer sits in terms of quality vs. price as there seems to be some very nice stuff @ £40-60 from the likes of Caran D'Ache right the way up to some eye watering prices and it would be nice to think that to some degree I'm spending money on quality vs. the logo on the lid.
On that note, where do Dunhill sit? I keep going back to look at the SideCar and SentryMan.

Happy reading.
Regarding Dunhill pens, an AD2000 is a beautiful thing to look at and a fabulous pen to write with, especially the carbon fibre example.

I have a few Dunhill Sentryman pens (see the 'Pens' thread as linked above).
Got two of them from Dunhill outlet in Bicester for a good price vs retail.
I have two Mont Blanc pens that i used to use before I bought the Dunhills. The MB pens have remained in their case since...
Nothing against MB pens, but I feel that the Dunhill Sentryman is very well made and is just that little bit different compared to the regular Mont Blanc offerings.
A cheeky pic of mine...

Call the Bicester outlet and ask what they have. They are always happy to send photos and prices over the phone.

Just bought my brother a Mont Blanc M ballpoint for his birthday. I think it's the best looking pen in the world. Dunhill are a great choice too though.
Just to help you out with the maths on this...buying a nice pen is a great way to save money. Since getting my first Mont Blanc I have given up on buying and losing disposable pens or pens that I don't really like or care about. My pen also has retained value should I ever choose to sell it which is not the case for a Bic
