Hey, long time lurker but now need some advice. Bought this watch yesterday. Its sat in its box for over a year so the battery is flat. Its the eco drive version. Had it in light today and nothing. I can take it to a local shopbut wondered if anyone had any tips that im probably doing wrong. Thanks for any help.

Leave it under a lamp for 12 hours or out in direct sunlight (be sure the lamp is far enough away to not make the watch hot) (i've heard pulling the crown out to time setting position to stop the hands helps with charging?? Can't confirm this.)
Then you have to perform an All-Reset and possibly a 0-Position Procedure if needed?
Both will procedures will be outlined in the manual, If you have no manual then you can read one online here - http://www.citizenwatch.com/en-us/support/setting-...

The capacitors should last a long time, 15 years at most? If all that fails read the number on the back of the capacitor and punch it on ebay, some are listed there. (Its out of warranty anyway)

Source - I had to do it myself thumbup HTH.
