I have an old watch that I would like to sell.

It was made by a firm called Timor, is in a 9ct case and is hallmarked Edinburgh 1956. I don't know what the model is.

Where would be the best place to sell this.

Would it be the local jeweller or is there somewhere more specialized that would be better?

I've looked online at websites but they only seem interested in very high end watches.

Many Thanks for any help you can provide.

Bit of info on the brand: http://www.roseantiquesfairs.co.uk/?p=623

Post up a pic and I'm sure someone can identify it. It may really be worth the value of the gold but have you tried scouring eBay for similar models?

Thanks for the reply and the info.

Here's a few photos of the watch.

Thanks in advance for any help.

have you tried birth year watches? They buy watches that can be identified to particular years
