I really liked it. I'm not really a watch buff, but its nice, I liked its looks and the geek in me appreciated the solar power and the bluetooth connectivity.
Just wondered what people's opinons were and whether or not I should spend £300 elsewhere?

Casio make quartz watches. There's nothing wrong with them if you like that sort of thing. But for £300 you could get oh so much more. That's enough money to get something that has the class the Casio badly lacks.

Be aware it's quite a heavy watch. A mate had one, but took it back because he couldn't get on with the weight.https://www.casio-europe.com/euro/products/watches...

Did you actually read the OP? Specifically this bit - http://www.chrono24.co.uk/omega/geneve--id4562384....

OP, you're not a pie-key, Mike is just foisting his own snobbery on you.Ooooh, look at you. Handbags at dawn. It's exactly this combative attitude that's putting me off PH. Too many idiots, for a long while the watch forum stayed fairly idiot free, oh well. I took a break, thought I'd come back have a look see and clearly nothing's changed.
ETA.
Actually that was probably an over-reaction. If you were intending a to make snide poke then ^^ see above for response. Otherwise, whatever.

If the OP genuinely likes the Casio, that's fine. There's nothing wrong with the Casio. He asked for alternative suggestions. Non watchy types may not be aware that they could lay their hands on a rather nice second hand piece for Casio Ediface money. I know what I prefer and the OP has looked at my suggestions and knows what he prefers. Neither of us are wrong. ETA.

Thanks for the list. What you have just done is confirm I am most likely a (pie + key) as the only one I like from that list is the Seiko. I still like the Casio more though
You're welcome.
Yo might be surprised to learn that Seiko make some very, very good watches. Have a Google for Spring Drive and King Seiko. You might be surprised what people are prepared to pay for a Seiko.
I bought one last week & love it, I've not used many of the features on it - just Bluetooth to run the initial set it up, tested the find my phone feature & set the world clock.
I love the design, feel of it & the weight of it on my wrist.

Mike, have a look at my posting history.
You'll find that I'm not keyboard warrior, and I am in fact quite aligned with you in that there's too many confrontational characters about
I stand by my point in that looking at the OP's first choice, it's obvious that your list isn't gonna strike because that's not what he's after, as you've admitted yourself that those choices were to your own tastes.
Hence my comment about you foisting your own snobbery on him. Nothing confrontational about it, it's merely an observation.

It's not snobbery, but I'll freely admit I just don't generally like quartz watches. They have no soul. There's zero artistry in the movement. The comment about the Casio lacking class was intended to be tongue in cheek. You'll find that I'm not keyboard warrior, and I am in fact quite aligned with you in that there's too many confrontational characters about

The OP clearly isn't a watch guy, by which I mean a collector. So yeah, I posted some (rather nice IMHO) vintage alternatives. The response was either going to be "Ooh, didn't realise I could get something like that." or "I still prefer the Casio." Either way, he asked what else he could get for £300 and now he's educated.
He's choosing the Casio, that's not wrong, it's his wrist after all. What I mean is, clearly he's wrong, so very very wrong, but he's entitled to make his own mistakes isn't he?

I'll accept that. I say the same thing to people who pick diesels over V8's.
