Hi I would really love a moonphase watch. I am a big fan of the A Lange and Söhne Saxonia moon phase but I don't really want gold (or white gold).

The nearest stainless equivalent I have found is a JLC Q151842A. This is currently the watch I am thinking of getting, but does anyone have any similar suggestions? Intended for regular/daily wear.

Christopher Ward have one, available with either a blue face with silver details or white face with gold details.

I have one. Not too expensive and very very nice in the flesh.

I think the JLC is winning hands down at this stage.

CW is not for me...design looks a bit unbalanced to me. Too much moon perhaps smile

Junghans is nice but not my style. Yeah I'm still thinking JLC but I spotted a nice IWC the other day...always seem to look a bit blingy in the metal though.

Well having now looked through them all I didn't really like any!

I looked at some other Zenith and Blancpain options on the back of that though, and they make some lovely watches. Speedmaster moonphase is one I'd overlooked too...any thoughts on this? Seems very big at 44.25mm. I usually go 40mm or below.

You need to go and handle the watches. The Speedy is a nice thing, but it's not in the same league as the JLC.

I have seen a standard Speedmaster of course and no it's not JLC quality, but just look at the moon on that one! It's stunning. Still, 44.25 is undoubtedly too big for me. JLC still in pole position.

Omegas wear smaller than the case mm would suggest, I would go and try one on and see.

The Glashutte PanoMaticLunar range is a favourite of mine. The difficult bit is choosing a colour!

Might not be exactly what you're after though.

Not expensive enough for this thread. Could always buy one for each day of the week.

Beautiful! Definitely a contender. Will be looking into these. The difficulty is finding one locally to try on.

I've always fancied a Speedmaster Moonphase.

I'm not a fan of most of the 'special' Speedmasters, but I'd swap my Moonwatch for one of those in a heartbeat.

I can't see your location in your profile, but Harrods have a large collection of Glashutte watches to try on! smile
