Hi everybody, I'm in the market for a Omega, not 100% sure on the model yet, I'm guilty of choosing on looks than anything else, though it must be an automatic and NON metal strap.

I've found a few on eBay, from both private and trade sellers, a couple shown below, but how do I know these are not fakes, or stolen, or worth what being asked for. Am I wasting my time looking on eBay and is it best to get off my backside and put in the footwork.

Any advice more than welcomed.

Have a look on Chrono24 for some price comparison.

Deal with PH recommended dealers like Dom H (aka Hackett Watches) or Neil at Chronomaster. I'm sure they can source something you want.

I'm sure others will come along with other recommendations and trusty dealers as well.

EDIT: Look at this, with spare orange bezel insert as well: http://www.chronomaster.co.uk/new/watches/divers-w...

Buy with bracelet, then remove and fit a strap.

Unless the seller has lots of 100% positive feedback for selling watches I'd recommend going elsewhere.

There are plenty of reputable S/H dealers to choose from including Hackett Watches.

I second the advice about buying with a bracelet - they are very expensive to add later, but straps are cheap.
