Resently got my Alt-c back from a service. It came back earlier than expected and in as new condition. The service Bremont give is superb and I would highly recommend.

I believe different models have different costs, best to give them a ring for an accurate quote. I really like the way they don't polish the case, they replaced with new., so you get back your watch in as new condition.

The watch was re-cased as part of the service? Bet that wasn't cheap, especially as it's a chrono movement (unlike the Solo mentioned in the other post), and isn't the case made of a hardened steel as well?

Yes, Bremont don't polish the case they replace as part of the service. I purchase the watch used In a fairly poor condition so a service was well worth it to me, with the added bonus of a warrenty.

At what point does it cease to be 'your' watch though?

It's a little bit like triggers broom!

When I had my MBII serviced I had the option of them leaving it as is or replacing the case, knurled ring and/or glass.

As the case was virtually unmarked I just went for the glass and it came back as good as new smile
