Best place for a Breitling battery?
Discussion
Hi all,
Going to be selling my B1 soon because I just don't wear it, but the battery needs replacing first. Where's best? I vaguely remember going into Watches of Switzerland last year and being told that they'd have to send it away at a cost of £lots, just for a new battery.
All suggestions greatly received!

Take it to the Breitling Service Centre in Tunbridge Wells. You'll cut out the middle man and can drop it off and pick it up yourself if you fancy dropping in and watching the workers through the viewing window
The watch will be given a healthcheck and a polish before you get it back. They did a full service on my Blackbird a few years ago and the watch came back like new.

I've had a few new batteries in my B1, not surprising having had it about 20 years now, and it's never been anywhere near Brietling.
I have a very competent watch repair guy I take everything too, he's been on the Brietling training course but isn't 'approved' as he wouldn't buy their tools.
I've watched him change the battery in mine and it's a 30 second job, in fact the longest/hardest bit is resetting the time and getting it all in sync with itself, which he hands back to me to do.
If I had a tool to get the back off I'd do it myself but then I don't worry about the water resistance as I don't really get it wet.
