Any vintage Rolex experts in essex

I've found a 1950,s submariner in Europe and I'm planning to go over and get it next week sometime but just wanted a bit off help as I have to admit I'm no expert! I've done a bit of online research and it looks ok but need a bit more advice please.

Serial number checks out to 1957

A 6536, 6538 or similar, or really any vintage rolex shouldn't be gone into blind.

You want spend the thick end of 10k on a watch but don1t know enough to commit ?

Get some advice dude. The watch looks genuine enough, but needs some homework.

Any sub with history and especially pre 60 watches are worth investing in, but make sure it is what it says it is.

If it`s genuine, I`d pay that straight away.

How much would it be worth if it is original?

Watch Guru have one up for £13,000,but to be honest I will probably keep it.
