I'm looking for a leather strap, and the usual suspects (watchbandcetpnter, watchgecko, watchobsession) don't seem to have what I'm after.

So it's Toshi or who else?

I want a non dress 22mm (lug and buckle) with small (non Pan-style) holes for the buckle. Dark brown or black.

I've even considerdd Christopher Ward, who seem to come closest to the style I want.

I'm looking at Stevostraps for two of my Hamiltons at the moment.

A couple of those might work, thanks.

I bought a Hirsh one a few months ago which I'm impressed with (replaced a strap that I never got on with). Quite a lot of styles to choose from.

I've got a few Hirsches, but they don't seem to have what I want. I bought a padded one, but it wasn't thick enough, and looked a bit lost on the watch...

Look at Equus.
Top stuff made of bridle leather.

I've used Toshi and Steveo.
Both excellent to deal with...

I had a quick look, and they seemed a bit dressy.

If it helps, it's for this:

I find the rubber a bit sticky in warm weather, and I'd prefer something a little more supple. If I'm going in the water, it'll go on the rubber, but for daily wear, I'd like leather.

Try an Isofrane. Would suit that watch well. Lots of airgaps so doesn't get hot, and they're incredibly supple. :-)

I'd suggest a Hirsch curved end leather strap. Lots of colours and watchobsession has them at quite amazing prices.

edit: although I've just seen you tried a Hirsch strap before and it didn't look good, so a bit silly of me to recommend one!

To be fair, the Hirsch I tried wasn't right, but that doesn't mean none of them would be. I like the curved end jobbies. Just need a v dark brown or black one. I rather fancy an oiled finish too...

This feels like one of those "What car should I buy?" threads, where I keep adding new information until you're only left with one option smile

I already have an Isofrane on another watch, so I don't really want two wink

D'oh!

I've just dug out a waterproof leather strap from my stash, and tried it for size. And I rather like it.

Looks like the search is over before it really began paperbag

Turns out I needed a 22/20, not a 22/22.

Sorry.
