Can anyone offer advice on having the battery replaced in this Billabong watch please? I purchased it in Australia 7 or 8 years ago and having been to my local Watch Lab and Hinds stores they both quoted around £35! is there something unusual about how it would be done?

If they are replacing the seal and doing a pressure test then I can see why they'd charge that (though it may still be a bit expensive).

I have a Tag I'd stopped wearing years ago which I decided to start using again a few days ago. Wasn't willing to pay that kind of price for a new battery though.

It has the same kind of back as that, and I bought a tool from Amazon for £5.95. It was pretty tight but a few attempts got it unscrewed.
New battery has been ordered from Amazon - think I chose Varta which was something like £2.95.

So doing it myself cost under £10, and I now have the tool for the future.

I paid £4 fitted for one in an old TAG I've got smile
