I have a vintage 1980's seiko quartz chrono, inherited from my late grandfather who wore it everyday since their wedding day in 1983 over all his Rolex, Omega and Tag's.. it's some what sentimental to me.

Unfortunately it is missing the Seiko alarm cover and has a cracked crystal from a fall at fratton Park in the later years.

I've tried everywhere to get it repaired/restored and no one will touch it, seiko UK, vintage watch restores, vintage seiko specialists, I've tried them all.
I just finished trawling all 4921 results for used seiko on eBay as well an not a single one for sale on there either.

Anyone got any ideas, I'm becoming increasingly disheartened and frustrated over this !

Thanks in advance.

Hi, have you tried Spencer Klein in the US? Check him out on youtube he seems to be a vintage seiko expert.

Been making some enquiries with a guy in Australia through Instagram who's a bit of a Seiko guru for you, he hasn't got anything in his parts collection but says it might be worth messaging eBay seller seikoparts14 , he comes highly recommended

Have you tried taking it to Cephas Mckeough in Anglesea Road, Southampton?
Tell him about the sentimental value and ask if there is anything he can do. Otherwise he'll just tell you that a repair isn't economical.
What do you mean by "missing alarm cover"? Does the watch have no back? That could be a toughie...

ETA.
This one?
I see the problem, a square crystal and I see the alarm cover.
I think your only hope is to keep going on ebay. There are a few H249-50x0 on there, you may have to consider cannibalising something close.

That's the watch Mike, and yes a square crystal with radius edges isn't easy to find.
I've trawled eBay and nothing yet, I'll have to just keep looking on there on the off chance another comes up.

Didn't realise quite how hard it would b to find another or spares
