Full dial lume?

I have become obsessed by full dial lume watches after seeing a Glycine MLV in a book. Does anyone have experience of wearing a full dial lume watch as a daily, and does the lume become annoying after a while, I.e. do you become conscious of it glowing brightly when wearing at night?

I love the thought of it, but don't want to be put off wearing it due to the attention it might attract!
