As above really chaps, fancying a change I was looking at px'ing the sub for something else. However I'm asked if it's a 14060/16610/14060m nuts bit confused.....

It's a 2008 model non date

Thanks in advance!!!

I would guess its a 14060M - the 14060 and the 14060M are basically identical watches but the 14060M has a modified movement (hence the M). Think they've been modified since early 2000s so would guess yours is one of these smile

The model number is stamped on the case between the strap lugs but you'll need to get someone to remove the bracelet to see it. Or post a picture & someone can confirm what it is.

no worries - thinking about it, 2008 ish I think they brought out a COSC version with 4 lines of text at the bottom of the face (previously just 2 lines) - not sure if this has any impact on price though

Yes it has that and also 'Rolex' repeatedly engraved on inner crown which I think qualifies it as a post 2008 - probably would help if I found the box and papers which are somewhere irked

Don’t know if this is true, but i was told that the cosc non date with 4 lines of text is quite a rare watch so i guess this could lead to an increase in value.

I have a vested interest in this being true as i have one but then i dont think i would ever sell it.

Must admit I do prefer it to the date model as I tried both prior to the non date (absolutely no offence to date wearers but I'm a bit weird I like symmetry and one bubble would drive me mad - I was like it with an off centre registration plate on an Alfa too) nuts

Oh and I'm probably being rather dense but what does 'cosc' mean in the last post biggrin

Geek mode on
Controle Officiel Suisse des Chronometers

Normal people chatter mode
Basically it means that the watch has been tested and had met or exceeded an official standard.

I dont actually think there is any difference between the non COSC and the COSC version its just they never used to bother sending the non date off for testing.

Without wanting to go too far off thread, that whole car looks like it needs a benefit concert putting on for it!

Only other car i can think of which was anywhere near as bad was the Suzuki Wagon R+ i mean why did that thing need two different places to put the rear numberplate???
