Hi,

I bought an Oris Diver from ebay and would like to get it serviced, iirc Oris require a purchase card with the watch but this was not present, so will have to go to an independent, recommendations please?

Just had mine serviced by these guys:

CHRONTIME LTD.
Suite 18,
Rivington House,
Horwich,
Bolton BL6 5UE
Tel: 01204 695789
Email: info@chrontime.co.uk

I think they are the official service centre for ORIS in the UK but there was no mention of a purchase card or any other documentation - just sent them my watch and got it back working a lot better than when I sent it.

Wouldn't the original paperwork only be required if it was a warranty repair?

AFAIK, Oris use ETA movements, so any competent watch repairer can do a service. Different matter if it needs case parts, dial or hands

I had mine serviced by one of the official people, Andrew Charles. No paperwork needed.

Works well with excellent timekeeping, not so good a job on the outside though.
So highly recommended for servicing, but don't bother with any refinishing.
