Is the demand and waiting list high?

Looks that way, the cheapest resale on Chrono24 in the UK is 13k with most between 14-16k, so I'd wager the lists are long at the ADs unless you're a valued punter.

Most demand for the blue dial, a lot less (but still a lot of demand for the black dial) and very little demand for the white dial which surprises me as I like the white the most.

I know someone first on the list for the white dial when he phoned round a couple of months ago - that really surprised me!

I haven't ordered one as I think after the initial frenzy they will plumit in value.
Lovely complication though.

Sister in law’s manager just got this

Can be bought with a 25% discount from non-authorized dealer in the states that makes it $30k

Obviously, not what the OP asked about but shows the differing demand/discount levels of SkyDwellers based on the material they are made out of.

Why are white faced Daytona’s more popular than black but the other way round on sky dwellers

I’m no watch expert but you really think they will plummet in value?!

A stainless Rolex with the most complicated movement in the range?

If it fell from £10600 and ‘plummeted’ to say £7500 then wouldn’t everyone buy one

Lovely watch. I’d have it over the Daytona IMO. Blue or white face.

It's just a feeling - to a non Rolex person they just look like a date just and we know how much money they lose.....

It was the same with the milgauss gv - it was hot when it first came out but after that initial interest the demand was low and used values are far lower than list.

Ok plummet may be a bit strong but I believe they will come down in price by quite a bit.

Just bought it today

Personally I prefer it to a daytona or any other stainless Rolex other than maybe a yachtmaster 2

Just feels nicer sized - sometimes Daytona’s feel a bit too small nowadays

Either way I’ll see how much wear I get out of it hehe

Cheers gents

I got the white face as it was just my favourite one really then blue then black

I’ll get pics up later

Paid list from my AD - he says the wait is a couple of years normally but fortunately (or perhaps unfortunately for me!) he gets me what I want pretty quickly as we have had a lot off him over the years and he knows I’m not a flipper

Thankyou but I can buy one at list price immediately if I want. I love the look of the white dial but there are other watches that I want to add to my collection first.

I was told I could have a SS one very quickly-quicker than a Sub LV for instance.

They're thin on the ground but so are buyers.
Looks like this "waiting list" lark for Rolex isn't quite what the dealers make it out to be hehe

I've said this before but my AD had two of these sitting in their case, available for sale, a couple of months ago when I last popped in.

I had no idea there was a premium on them!

To be honest, I wasn't that impressed in the flesh with the steel versions. The steel and the complicated face seemed incongruous to me somehow.

I went into a ad in the summer to ask about 1, they said the manager was out and he’d call me back, didn’t hear anything again until October when they rang and asked if I wanted 1 of their first batch which makes me think there isn’t much demand

I was told only 10 blue faced watches have made it to the UK so far.
I ordered mine at Baselworld when they were first displayed and only just got it in December.

Poor quality photos taken on my phone, but I’m really happy with it.
