Female Datejust strap issue
Discussion
Wife caught her watch recently and although everything looked ok the clasp wouldn't close properly. She took it into Goldsmiths who sent it away for assessment. Got a call today to say that the strap is 'snaking' and that they recommend an exchange strap, metal and gold, costing around £1,500. She had no issues with the strap before this so not sure whether to go ahead with new strap or try and get this one repaired. What do people think?

I would have thought it more likely that the clasp would need adjusting or replacing. It's unlikely that a mis-aligned clasp whould require the whole bracelet to be replaced. Edited by murray on Tuesday 30th January 12:53
Happy to have a look if you can forward some images.
She took in in assuming that they would be able to repair it in store but they sent it off to Rolex. I'll get it back and put up some pictures. If it needs a new strap fair enough but I've got my doubts as she had no issues with it before this. Thanks for the advice.
