Crafter Blue straps - does the smell go?

Justvtaken delivery of a navy blue Crafter Blue strap for my (blue, natch) Sumo.

It had a fairly strong whiff on taking it out of the packet. Fitted it to the watch - love the OEM look where it closes the gaps - but by god the smell seems even worse.

Mrs OMITN can’t seem to smell it - bit It’s really strong to me.

So, does it ease off or do I just send it back?

I have Crafter Blue strap (albeit black) on my Sumo and there is no smell. I think the initial smell when new will disappear in a few days / weeks.

Cheers - might store it outside the packet for a week without using to see if that helps.

I have another strap without a rubbery smell - vanilla actually - which doesn’t look as good but is more acceptable in the olfactory sense!
