Seiko Kinetic Diver servicing and repair
Discussion
Hi guys, have been a long time lurker here, but does anyone know a good place to get a Seiko Kinetic divers watch serviced and a new crystal fitted?
The watch is a 10 year old Seiko Kinetic divers watch that I wear as a beater. It’s well overdue a service already but like an idiot I’ve managed to put a decent sized chip in the crystal which seems to be letting in water, so this is now rather urgent.
This is a cheap watch compared to the rest of my collection, but has been all over the world with me and has a lot of sentimental value, so I’m keen to try to get it fixed rather than binning it.
Cheers!

Unfortunately, there’s not a lot to service in a kinetic Watch. They are pretty much completely plastic inside.
A new capacitor and a little tweaking of the oscillating weight mechanism generally gets it going well again.
Seiko just replace the whole movement and fit the dial and hands to a new one.
If you don’t mind posting it, I would happily do you an estimate for the work, at a fraction of the expected cost I would imagine.
Here if you need me.
