I am really struggling to locate a watch strap for my Dreyfuss 1925. It requires a strap so snugly curved at the lug ends that the spring bars are themselves curved.

The clasp on the original strap is very weak and keeps springing open, hence my looking to change over to a good old tang & buckle affair.

Does anyone know a retailer who carries this kind of stock?

Thank you!

Or you could just source a new clasp.

http://dangerous9straps.blogspot.com/, handmade to fit perfectly, but it'll cost you almost as much as the watch. A clasp springing open on itself can generally be solved with a little thumb and hand pressure to bend it back to a tight fit.

+1 for Dangerous9 but it will cost (lots) and there's a lengthy wait. I have a black ostrich strap for my Pam and the quaity is second to none. Take a look at his site for strap pron if nothing else. Search google images for Dangerous9 TCLS

Thanks to everyone - I've had a great reply from Munich and will be proceeding to buy something bespoke like some of you have done already.
