Apart from Watch Club, Blowers and Hacketts who I know of, who would people suggest to sell a collection of watches to. Mainly steel sports Rolexes (Daytona, GMT, Subs etc.) . I cannot face selling privately, as I am not sure the premium is worth the aggravation. Someone on another thread was suggestion London based dealers.

Mark Worthington might be worth a try, watches of Wales I believe is an Indy dealer, but could be wrong.

Other than that there’s dozens - if not hundreds - of dealers in the capital, but due diligence needed for testimonials etc.

That said, just go to Dom, you won’t regret it.

MDMA .

Have you tried Mike Wood (a member on here)? Posts in the NW quite a bit. Or Nicholson Watches in Frodsham. Only deals in Rolex. Buys all dealer px's i believe. Friend has bought quite a few from him and is a really nice, genuine guy.

If wanted to realise the best prices, head south. London dealers will (on average) give you the best price as they can sell them in their market at a higher price.

I’ve used bqw BQ watches https://www.bqwatches.com , in the past they have always given me the best price.

Doing it online is the best way, you can hit several dealers at once for ballpark figures, then ship & sell to the one of your choice.

Some might turn their nose up at them but decent Pawn shops are surprisingly competitive most know their stuff and up to date with current trends and prices.

Always worth getting a few opinions.

I think you did the right thing going to Dom Hackett. Great guy and his reputation precedes him. Ironically I came across a guy called Dev behind the Gentleman Watch Collector close to Dom’s place on Hatton Garden. He couldn’t have been further from a gentleman!!

Really useful thread - thanks!!

I was trying to find out where to sell my Breitling but the thread kept being deleted as apparently it contravened the where to sell rules.... luckily this one hits the spot perfectly - good work chaps!!

soapboxHardly surprising. You may just have been after some inside knowledge of where you should sell, but by naming the watch, your thread looked like a very thinly veiled advert.
Your second attempt mentioned that you'd had the first thread deleted - and why it was deleted. You didn't name the watch in the thread, but having been told it wasn't allowed you put the make and model of the watch in the thread title!
I wasn't sure if you were deliberately trying to skirt the rules, or whether you really were too thick skinned to take the first hint!
