Thinking of giving one of these a go, in black, on my GMT.

Anyone got any other recommendations?

Tried a Geko rubber strap in the past but found it very ridged. Wouldn’t really curve around the wrist and this made it pretty uncomfortable.

Coincidentally, popping in to a dealer on Saturday to see how a rubber looks on a couple of GMTIIs; black one and bi colour (both new ceramics). Not sure what make the straps are yet so will report back.

They’ll have to look and feel really good for me to buy one/two.

The thing with the Everest one is it’s desgined for the watch so curves around the case and looks right.

I’ve been tempted by the green to match the gmt hand on mine.

Was thinking to go for the clasp version though. Would goldsmiths fit them?

If you’re not sure and don’t want to spend nearly £200 you could try one of these (assuming a Sub and GMT case are similar...)

I'd forgotten how attractive the Explorer II is, and the contrasting strap makes the lovely white dial stand out even more.

If you follow this link there's photos at the end of page 1 of my GMT II on the Everest black rubber strap.

Hope it helps.

I've had two Everest rubber bands crack on my Submariner. Both times just out of warranty.
its back on its original bracelet now, but I'll have a looks at those Cousins ones suggested above. Rubber B also make straps.

So far, very. Still switch between various perlon and the Everest from time to time.

No issues so far and I much prefer the watch off the bracelet - far too pronounced of a taper and the clasp is too large compared to the watch head, looks unbalanced on the wrist.

The Everest solves this for me and stopped me selling the watch.

Have a look at RubberB.

Amazing quality and finish, I’ve had one on my BLNR for a while now.
