I really want a watch with a power reserve indicator. I don't know why, I just do hehe

Can anyone recommend one? I aren't looking to spend a lot of money. I see a lot of Parnis ones, but very unsure about them?

Thanking you in advance.

I have a Parnis one which ran for a while and then stopped , however Rigga sorted it for me and its been running perfectly since

Its a rather lovely thing and think it was about £80 on ebay but I understand the Q/C is better if you buy direct

Timex and Pulsar (made by Seiko) have made relatively cheap automatic watches with power reserve indicators.

My Rover & Lakes automatic was €30 SH:

It’s pretty good, losing +/- 8 secs/day.

Depends on budget but the Seiko presage cocktail time has one (about £330):

Or Elliot Brown (£795):

Parnis is a mushroom brand, there is no "going direct".

Parnis only sell parts, case, movement, dial in bulk. Dealers buy the watches and assemble them. That's why Parnis quality is so variable.

I have one, I bought from Manjushijie ( www.manbuworld.com). The first watch I received had issues, I sent it back and it was quickly replaced. I believe the company is run by a chap called Xaio Song, he was easy to deal with.

You should budget for a new strap, £20ish from your local watchmaker, as the straps fitted are really awful.

Also expect to pay HMRC 20%ish import and a £20 fee from your courier for paying this for you. Your shipment will probably slip under the radar and you'll get away with it, but better to expect the charge and be elated if it doesn't appear than not to expect it and be disappointed! To avoid the charge, buy from Europe. Sadly I don't know of a European seller to recommend.

Oh bugger. After typing all that, I headed over to Manbuworld to browse and it appears that he has stopped selling Parnis. Sorry.
