Complete Novice looking far a Rolex for daughter

Hi, I'm a complete novice at watches, my daughter wants an Oyster Perpetual Date just 36.

I have a few questions:
• Looking for retailers, so far we have only come up with Watches of Switzerland (goldsmiths same as Watches of Switzerland), are there any other retailers?
• Is it possible to get any discount from Watches of Switzerland?
• Are duty free shops much cheaper?

Go to the Rolex website, they’ve a list of dealers.

Similarly, check the websites of the duty free shops, the prices should be plain to see.

Remember if buying duty free you'll be liable for tax on re-entry to the UK.

Watches of Watches of Switzerland Group / Aurum holdings also trading as Goldsmiths and Mappin & Webb are IIRC the largest authorised Rolex retailer in the UK however in many areas there will also be independent jewellers that are authorised dealers. WoS group are probably not the best place to try if you are after a discount from list.

If your considering duty free have you considered using a broker (there are few on here) or non affiliated independent jeweller at least that way you'll not be liable for duty, or even an online broker such as chrono24? There is quite an active market in "new / unworn" through independents which for less desirable models can be found for a decent discount below list.
