tl;dr - milestone birthday coming up and would like to buy one of these new.
Any recommendations for an AD in the Glasgow area? Have tried Goldsmiths (2 year wait Sir, no thanks) and Laings (4 people on the list and 20% deposit payable today Sir)
I would be very surprised if it took 2 years to get one of those, i was offered one Last Nov (no deposit needed) and turned it down (because i was buying my GMT master 2 blue/black) not sure Goldsmiths are telling you the truth there, not a fan of goldsmiths and their attitudes anyway, but i dont have a AD i can recommend in the area your in, just really surprised they are saying its a 2 years wait.Any recommendations for an AD in the Glasgow area? Maybe things have changed from last Nov, just seems a crazy lead time for a Tudor.
Good luck with the search, an AD somewhere will have one in their window i'm pretty sure, in fact a AD in Harrogate had one only last week, think someone on here posted in case someone wanted it, they had a Black Bay 58 as well in stock, no doubt sold now but it shows they are available to walk in and buy just luck i think.

I'm based in Southern England but I managed to get 2 last year, one of which come from Scotland.
I put an order in with Goldsmiths in England (local AD) no deposit or anything, didn't think I'd get it from here tbh. A few weeks later the assistant manager of Chisholm Hunter in Glasgow (one of 3 stores I think) contacted me on Instagram, he had seen me commenting on Tudor's posts advertising the GMT (I was putting comments like "how about making the watches rather than advertising them") and told me he could get me one for guaranteed delivery in July. All as I needed to do was put deposit down, I also set up V12 finance.
Fast forward to late September, I have made several payments to V12 finance for the GMT from Chisholm Hunter, one Saturday morning Goldsmiths call to say "your GMT has arrived come get it" at which point I'm like oh s
t. I was going to say no but really wanted the watch at the same time so went and picked it up, stuck it on a credit card (no discount or finance offered).
At this point I was going to call V12 and ask them to withdraw the finance as Chisholm Hunter still couldn't tell me when, but I didn't. The watch arrived late October.
Luckily for me, A friend of mine also wanted one, so I sold it to him and paid of the credit card.
Have you thought about the Black Bay 58 rather than GMT? I like both.

Watches of Switzerland in Glasgow claim they’ve never seen one, let alone operate a waiting list for one.
Sounds like you spoke to the wrong person, I had a similar experience in Goldsmiths the other week mind you, walked in and the sales guy noticed mine and started asking me about it, eventullay "where did you get it from, we've never seen one in this store" came around, my reply "thats funny because it came from this store".Tudor started delivering them a little heavier towards the end of the year, also suspect a lot of people on the list wont buy it when their call comes so you will probably get one in the next 6-8 weeks I reckon.

I would like one but is there any chance of interest free finance from the dealers that advertise it ? cant see the point of paying a lump out unless I can get a discount .
I was told no 0% by Laings and no discount due to demand. Normally I’d walk on principle, but it’s what I want and I’ve got other options to finance withHave been keeping an eye on Ebay auctions - allegedly new, unworn Bracelet versions now sub £3k and auctions for used watches finishing at below list.
Taking into account Ebay fees, people who are filling up the waiting lists and buying these watches purely to flip them are losing money. What a shame.

They’ll follow the black bay bronze. Tudor constantly release the “hot new thing” every year, it’s their USP. It’s a bit like one lotus elise (or mx5) special edition compared to another-there’s so many different ones made that it dilutes the specialness of the thing.
When it isn’t the hot new thing it’ll depreciate. Bet they’re £2250 within the next 12 to 18 months for a nice second hand one.
Not that that’s a bad thing by the way, even losing 30% on a mass made piece of jewellery is pretty good going if you discount the Rolex bubble.
Just my humble opinion, the only Tudor that will be properly collectible on the next 20 years will be the Harrods BB from the current range-if they keep supply pretty limited and solely available at the harrods franchise until discontinued.
