Tudor Pelagos v Tudor Black Bay Bronze

I recently tried out the Tudor Pelagos LHD and I'm quite tempted to add to my collection.

Should I pull the trigger on it? I'm not sure my Bronze will get much wrist time after (my daily is an IWC Pilots Chronograph and Sinn 103 sa B E). The Bronze is a fab watch, however at 43mm it's a big watch even though it fits me well. The Pelagos LHD in 42mm on the rubber strap is a better fit and has one of the best steel bracelets available with the exception of the Sub glidelock clasp.

Just received an offer for a trade against the Bronze with £1k cost to change against a pre-owned 2017 example...

...should I bite?

I have a pelagos - the normal version before the added their own movement. I also have a couple of other tudors including a 1970s snowflake (which is why I wanted a pelagos). Bought mine 3 or 4 years ago brand new in KL for a a few hundred less than they were here at the time.
I have worn it nearly everyday. Albeit recently have started wearing an Advisor. Love the pelagos. I can’t fault it. It’s a pleasure to wear and looks just right in my opinion. I am tempted by a LHD version but when I had a close look I found the faux patina a bit off putting. So personally I am not sure it would be a watch I would love to own but am still thinking about it. I tend to become slightly addicted to one brand. I have a few Favre Leuba too. Oh and a few Sector. I do the same with clothes, hifi, cars, shirts, shoes, bags etc. So I suspect I will probably but a LHD before long!!!

I bought a blue Pelagos last year as I wanted a blue watch to add to my collection and I really liked the colour and style of it. Up until I got it my daily was a white faced Daytona but the Pelegos has pretty much taken over. I particularly like the quick adjustment on the bracelet and for the money I think its hard to beat.

Love bronze watches, the black bay looks great. Have you concidered “pulling the trigger” on the bucherer blue faced one if still available

This would be the one of choice for me. Looks so much better in my opinion than the brown face. Should work well as the bronze ages too.

A grand seems a good price ie bronze can be had for £2k and a pelagos lhd for £2800. So the dealer seems good value.

This would be the one of choice for me. Looks so much better in my opinion than the brown face. Should work well as the bronze ages too.

I've considered the Bucherer Edition, however the bronze works better with the brown dial and strap IMO.

Thanks for the input guys I suspect if I don't go ahead with the trade, I may end up buying a Pelagos regardless - off to Hong Kong this Friday where a new Pelagos can be had for £2400. A healthy saving over the UK price £3160.
