Leather strap replacement

There are gazillions of nice straps offered on eBay. I just got this vintage Nato-style strap for my Parnis (that sounds a bit weird if you read it out loud) for €9:

I like Geckota: https://www.geckota.com/straps
Not as artisan as others, but high quality, a wide range to suit all budgets, good service and impressive packaging for just a strap - well-packed with a little box, spare spring bars & microfibre cloth (arguably the product would be cheaper if all those extras were cut-out, but a nice touch nonetheless).

Try https://www.steveostraps.com even if he has nothing shown on the site he will make something to your spec. He is based in the U.K. great guy to deal with.

Ditto. Had a lovely strap made for my Tudor BB GMT. Great guy to deal with and a true craftsman.Lorne said:
At the other end of the price scale, then dangrous9straps are quite possibly the finest and longest lasting straps in the entire world. A matt black Teju would look rather nice on your watch:

Impressive website and video. Thanks for pointing out. No mention/indication of price in it though. Approximately how expensive is it? Motorsport3 said:

I would suggest you email him, as the straps are custom and he offers a wide range of options that affect the pricing etc.I had one recently from him, few notes here (and it made it onto his blog):

I like the look of those, prices competitive, how does the quality compare to, say, a Toshi (at about half the cost) ?https://www.martuleather.com/

Please don’t buy snake skin straps, the way the skin is obtained is barbaric, they are skinned alive. I think frog/ toad skin is similar.
It is not a buy product of the meat industry, as the snakes that are eaten are almost never constrictors (like pythons.)

I'm with you on this as you've got to be quite careful about such things. I checked out the situation with Teju before using it for my straps and can report that it's caught from the wild under managed programs, killed in an ethical manner before its skinned and the meat is cooked and eaten locally and not thrown away. However, I can also report that despite being referred to as a 'local delicacy', Teju meat is actually a bit tough with the texture of chicken and tastes of whatever it's been spiced with.
