Display back pictures.

I love a display back, even if it’s only half shown and gives a little glimpse into the movement.
To me, one of the main attractions of a mechanical watch is the movement and all the little cogs and springs moving inside for years and years. Seems such a shame that many manufacturers don’t show theirs at all, like Rolex.
Even if the movements are a bit agricultural it’s still great to see them and what’s going on.
Here’s the back of my speedmaster professional.

Anyone else really like display backs?

I prefer a display caseback with a handwinding movement. My Oris Aquis has a display back but it's nothing special to look at and with the movement being a basic Sellita-ETA movement and the watch being 43mm diameter, the movement looks a bit lost to be honest and i think a stainless steel cashback would work better. I do like the look of the speedmaster above. Very nice. Tourbillon movements look pretty special, but unfortunately I don't have anywhere near enough money for one of those!!
Yes, I like them too...
I popped into Boodles Patek shop in the City the other day and the manager there was very friendly and showed me some of the uber high end stuff... looking under a lens at a perpetual calendar/chronograph. Holy Jebus and the Saints!! Quite incredible.
Anyhoo, here's a poor shot of one of mine.
