Have many people on here sold or bought watches from watchfinder? If so what’s the attraction? Is it convenience as they have physical shops or is it about trust or warranties? Perhaps a reluctance to buy from sellers in other forums?
Their prices always seem top end when they’re selling and very low for buying but they’re obviously still doing very well.

I picked up 2 Tudor GMT's last year one for me and one for a mate, usual story mate didn't want it when it came round to it.
Tried to sell it to Watchfinder, they had some "worn" GMT's on bracelets up for £3,995. This was brand new in box.
They offered me £1200, laughed at them.
Stuck it on ebay and sold it.

I sold then a 4year old Zenith a couple of years ago as I thought the price they offered me was not great but reasonable and very convenient. I didn't think that it would worth buying from them something that it is still in production though, as their price is fairly close to new.
Simple example -
This Moonwatch costs £3.5k new and since mid-2018 has 5year manufacturers warranty.

I can't see why anyone would buy for £350 less and no manufacturers warranty.

I have just retired , and the guys I worked with were kind enough to have a whip round for a retirement present , which turned out to be shopping vouchers in Bluewater ,
I fancied another Tag to join my 2000 series , which is now around 16 years old
I looked over the Tags on Watchfinder and saw one or two Formula One watches I liked the look of .
So this morning we took a trip to the Watchfinder shop in Bluewater to look them over ,
The prices varied from £750 up to over £1100 for watches 10+ years old .
Problem was , Bluewater vouchers were not accepted .
We then walked to Frazer Hart ( a Tag stockist ) and saw a new F1 series watch in the window reduced to £850 ( discontinued stock)
Half an hour later walked out with this

I picked up a Rolex sub from the Bluewater store a couple of weeks ago and got about 5% off the asking price, as well as an additional year on the warranty from them. Found them to be helpful and it is nice to be able to get watches off their site delivered to their store for viewing (although this one I bought randomly in fact).

Thanks for the info,Do they clean the watch up like Rolex do when servicing them? I.E. did it look brand new or did it have little scratches and scuffs etc on it?
Did you negotiate the discount in the bluewater store or had you done that online and just picked it up in bluewater.

Would, and have, happily buy from them. As for selling though they are incredibly low ball to the point where I can’t see how they get any inventory.
I bought a Corum Bubble for them for £900 some years ago, since then the new version has come out for around £4000 dragging up the older models secondhand values. I was curious so asked about a value for buying it back from me £450 was the offer! I get that they need to make money, and that they need to service it (quartz so not much really) and that it probably not going to be the quickest sale,but they have ones for sale at £1600 how can they justify trying to make 400% profit minus expenses?

I suppose it’ll depend partly on how long those watches like yours have been for sale. If yours is likely to sit there for nine months, they might not want it. And perhaps thinking in percentage terms is misleading. They need to cover costs, and many of those costs are the same whether the watch is worth £1k or £100k.

They were saying they didn't want the watch, I've found them OK price wise but that's on more mainstream stuff like Omega, Cartier and Panerai. I have had friends who have been low balled on Tudor though, about to offer them a 2500 PO 45.5mm will be interesting what they offer vs their ask which is around 3k I'll guess £1750 ish.
