Omega Speedmaster Apollo 11 50th Anniversary in Gold
Discussion
It's been briefly discussed before - and the collective opinion was that it's a bit fugly - and very expensive.
With the Cal 321 having been resurrected - I was very much hoping that they would recreate the 105.012 as actually worn on the Moon - rather than some piece of bling they presented to President Nixon after the event. With 2 months to go until the anniversary of the landing, I'm still hopeful that they may release this on the anniversary date.

Not wanting to hijack this thread, but I read on a different forum that Omega are planning an announcement on Wednesday (15th) of a steel anniversary version.
6969 will be made and will have gold pushers and crown, gold bezel and a piece of meteorite (perhaps the sub-dials) and "the" footprint on the back of the case. Costs was estimated at around USD10k. . . . .

Literally just been in Omega dropping off my Speedmaster for it to have a little holiday to Switzerland
Not Southampton? Mine was serviced there.Petrus1983 said:
Omega House in Eastleigh? It went there about 5 years ago and they did a terrible job of mine so this time it’s heading away. Omega in The Royal Exchange have handled everything.
I think my Speedy went there with the previous owner. Judging by what they did and charged it came back with more work than Trigger's broomGassing Station | Watches | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff

mines a keeper for life though so it’s part of the course.
