Any recommendations. Looking for something that looks a little understated and professional.

edited... any world gps watch is OK or band 6.

Main reason is travelling through Europe to China on a regular basis. Getting fed up with resetting watches to local time.

So far in my limited search there appears to be Casio or Citizen. I was hoping there might be more choices out there.

Many thanks

Yes, Casio G Shock; Citizen or Seiko Prospex are the main culprits. You will probably find that there’s still some work involved, as the watch might need telling that you’re in another country. It’ll then fix itself to that time.

You don’t necessarily need radio controlled; any new ‘connected’ G shock will let you manage it all from your phone very easily. Watch this as an example:

Edit to add: the video... 2 minutes onwards for the time settings.

I have a Casio Multiband 6 watch. I originally thought it would change the timezone (like what you want) but in fact it doesn't. You still have to change the timezone to the correct hour then the Multiband 6 just sycronises the time to be accurate. I thought what a bloody waste of time! It's a g-Shock steel I have, GST-W120L-1AER.

The only watch I ever had that did change the time was a Seiko Astron but even that didn't do it automatically rightaway, because it only received the GPS once a day. You had to tell it to search for a new timezone and it would adjust itself. This was a first generation Astron, not sure if they are better today.

Yes, the best way is G Shock ‘connected’ - very easy to set and change time zones.

Understated and professional you say? How about the Skagen hybrid smartwatch? They look like watches, connect to your phone to update time and run on normal coin cells so don't need to be recharged every day.

I don't have one but I've always thought Skagen were cool!

That watch is very appealing in terms of looks.

I'm also looking at a Citizen Satellite Wave, not as elegant but seems to have good functionality (if it works)..

I do have a Citizen eco-drive world-time (radio time) so can comment on that. Its an indestructible beast of a watch.

I do actually fly a lot. I manually set the time zone whilst I get on the plane and sit down in my enormous bed/chair with the complimentary champagne* - I like that because on a long distance flight I like to get on the new time zone as quick as possible.

*struggle to fit my cabin baggage in the overhead locker at the back of the plane.
