Breitling vs Oris
Discussion
Researching for my birthday present next January. My short list of watches is actually getting longer!
However, two prime contenders are a Breitling Navitimer, such as this one; https://www.chrono24.co.uk/breitling/navitimer-1-b...
..or an Oris Aquis Chronograph - this; https://www.oris.ch/en/watch/oris-aquis-chronograp...
So ANOTHER newbie question; is there any difference other than cachet, between these brands/watches? I'm guessing that the Breitling is more likely to retain its value, but is that all, in terms of difference.
PS I'm assuming both are COSC certified, and therefore have equivalent levels of precision and accuracy, and also robustness.

Breitling produce some crap but I think you’ll be hard pushed to find a watch person who will lump the Navitimer in with the crap.
It is a good quality piece - a classic style that has aged well.
The Oris... not for me. Oris also make some cool stuff but I’m the comparison you present, I think it has to be the Navitimer.
