Planet Ocean Bracelet 20mm lug width
Discussion
A few years ago i got myself an Omega Planet Ocean 42mm with the black rubber (orange stitching strap). Then not been savvy to the 'always get it on a bracelet' thinking.
Having made enquires at my local Leeds AD its somewhat eye wateringly expensive at around £550 in the 20mm lug width. I therefore bought a Watch Gecko bracelet which I like but does not fit the lugs properly. So now I hancker for the real thing.
1. Is it worth it?
2. Have you got one in good condition I could buy?
3. Could another option be just to buy the correct (Omega) end links?
4. Is there a site that sells genuine ones cheaper?
5. How do I tell its genuine apart from the Omega Planet Ocean wording on the clasp?
Any help much appreciated.
Thanks Mark

Had exactly the same issue with my PO
I personally dont feel the stock bracelet is worth £550, I did consider buying a used watch and swapping the strap with the bracelet and then selling it on as perhaps a cheaper option
I cant get on with the standard strap just dont find it comfortable , did in the shop , dont long term
However these are a good alternative and I think look nice

I think the bracelet is worth more on it’s own than as part of the watch package.
Buy a second hand one and when it comes time to move the watch on sell it separately.
I have a similar situation with one of my watches but instead of practical rubber it’s on some kind of leather. That makes the watch impractical because I can’t get it wet. Originally, they only sold it on leather but now they give you the choice at the same price. You would be mad to go with leather given the choice. I haven’t got round to buying a replacement strap so that watch is a fair weather one making my planet ocean the “daily beater”.
