Hi all,

Long time lurker here, thought I'd post the question as my Google Fu appears to be lacking.

Came across this yesterday and really like it but not sure if I can justify the price at the moment. Anybody know of anything similar for a bit less?

For reference here's the model I'm looking at: https://www.christopherward.com/c65-trident-automa...

Thanks in advance.

IMO you won't beat Christopher Ward for the money. Worth looking at a pre owned one, there's a very good and active forum & facebook group where well looked after watches come up for sale frequently. I own a red bezel C60 Trident 600 and absolutely love it. Incredible value for money

Damn it. Guess the bank account is getting a pre Christmas hammering then. Thanks for the tip about the forum, I'll get hunting.

Should have also mentioned that CW regularly do discounts and sales. If you're patient you'll easily be able to lop 20% off the RRP. Again, jump on the forums and facebook as they usually get early access etc.

Quality wise they are above Tag Heuer Aquaracers in my experience and my C60 isn't far off my Omega Seamaster. Considering you could pick one up for £600 they're bang on the money!

Oh wow, I'd heard they were good. Didn't realise they were that good. Always wanted a Seamaster so if the quality is up there with one of those I think I'll just stop being tight and get one. Thanks for your help, much appreciated!

There’s a £100 off code at the moment if you want new, or the FB page is a good place to buy nearly new.

I have a C65 hand wound and it’s superb.

I'll definitely get some pics up, I'm afraid I'm that guy who doesn't have Facebook though...

I own a C60 Trident - been back twice and replaced.

I originally bought a C7 auto and had it replaced twice and eventually got a refund.

Guess I'll have to wait and see. I've heard a few stories of issues but to be fair I've had two Seiko divers with problems. One decided to gain 20 minutes a day and the other just stopped working entirely. Luck of the draw sometimes but I've never heard a bad word about their customer service. Yet...

Bought a C65 when they first came out and it's been great. A real nice quality feel about it and nice looks without being shouty.

Been wearing it the last couple of days.

Look out for the discounts and go for it, you won't be dissapointed. smile

Edited to say, just seen that you went for it. thumbup

Yeah I got the offer code so thought sod it. I was torn between the auto and the diver and yours looks lovely so I'm hoping I've made the right decision.

Arrived yesterday. Really happy with it so far, finish is lovely, size is perfect for my fairly skinny wrists, even the box is nice. The strap is going to take some getting used to as I've only ever really worn bracelets before but it suits the watch very well and seems good quality.

Thanks very much! And thanks again to yourself and Alex Z for the info and tip off about the offer code. Think I'd have bottled it otherwise and I'm glad I didn't. It's a lovely thing.

I was a little worried I should have gone for the diver but now it's arrived I know I made the right choice. Makes me wonder what a 10k Rolex is like!
