Don't know the answer and apologies if its very basic.

Say you go to an AD of omega and have a look and try on of xyz watches. Do you then buy that one or do they have others out the back which havnt been handled or do they then order in an unopened new one?

Unopened, from out the back, unless you insist differently.

It depends on stock levels. You’re generally likely to get the display model unless there happens to be a spare in store or you request one ordered.

Mine was unopened from 'round the back'.

Speedy Pro from Mappin and Webb on Regent Street. A big store and popular model means they'll probably have higher stock levels
