Is there a resource where you can see watches on different after market straps?

I know, odd question, but i'm looking to replace a strap and occurred to me that I could well end up spending quite a bit of cash on something that looks a bit rubbish!

That’s part of the problem, I don’t really know.

I have a Chopard on rubber that I want to swap to leather- I actually decided to buy a Toshi yesterday which I think/hope will work.

Also have a Seamaster that I’d like to try leather rather than bracelet but again not sure what. Finally have a Hamilton Jazzmaster (great name!) which needs a replacement.

Will check some of the other links provided for ideas - thank you - but other than the Seamaster it’s hard to find specific examples.

Nothing too off the wall then. All good suggestions in the links above. As with the watch itself it mostly comes down to getting it in the watch/wrist and seeing how you feel I think. As with watches I've had straps that work perfectly in my head but really don't work in reality.

The Seamaster looks great on a thicker Italian leather strap, something like a Coloreb.

Hodinkee has one of the best watch strap finders IMO!

Toshi makes some great leather straps, here is a review I made about them once

Or for rubber straps I'd go with Borealis https://youtu.be/czuAvVPdxCY

Can you get straps fitted over a deployant clasp?

I have a nice watch on an original alligator strap, but that strap is showing signs of wear even on occasional use. I'd quote like to remove it, and fit a strap I don't care that much about to the watch and its buckle, avoiding having to replace the (very pricey) original item should I ever sell the watch...

Steveo has just done exactly this for my wife’s Tag Heuer.

I sent him the knackered old leather strap and the original steel Tag deployant clasp, he made s new leather strap that fits the clasp.

The cost was very reasonable IMO.
