High value watch courier?
Discussion
Ello PH watch friends.
Very quick question. Long story short, a chap I know needs to get a watch (circa £40k worth I believe) from Cornwall to London.
He's been quoted some absurd numbers for courier due to the value (around £700 I think, although i don't know, this could be the going rate?!) so is considering taking the train and taking it himself. I wouldn't personally fancy that but his his choice.
I thought I would ask on here if anyone has someone they recommend/trust with an undertaking that I could point him to?
Thanks in advance!

Have a look at Secursus:

It seems it would cost about £240 to insure £40k. They aren't couriers, you use an approved courier & Securus provide insurance.

Thanks for the input all. I would think this is the way he will go eventually but he is in his 80's (although and incredibly astute switched on chap) so not sure if he's 100% comfortable. But like I said to him, at least with handing it over himself he can assure it's got there!Gassing Station | Watches | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
