Just about to buy the replacement bracelet for my Avenger gmt. Currently it has the rubber divers strap. The question is do I go for polished or a more satin finish. The case is polished but not sure if I should match it or not as I thought the more brushed look would be more resistant to scratches etc. Any thoughts would be appreciated, cheers.

Presumably Breitling sell the watch with a bracelet? Why not just follow what they use?

Highly polished bracelets certainly do pick up scratches, but it's generally not a big issue for most.

I’ve got a chronomat with a fully polished pilot bracelet, it does pick up and show scratches.
You’ve got a brushed bezel so it wouldn’t look too odd with a brushed bracelet, but scratches still show - shiny bits on brushed can stand out more than scratches on polished! However a well worn mirages bracelet looks much better than a well worn polished bracelet.

Not much help that! laugh

Assuming you have the standard pin/buckle strap, have you considered the Ocean Racer with deployant clasp?
Really comfy and looks class on any Breitling.

Thanks for your thoughts. As long as doesn’t look odd against the polished case, I will probably go for the satin finish later today. Price here in the Canaries is about £80 cheaper than back home which is a bonus.( that one is in stock in the shop so will see what it looks like against it first ). Cheers all

You were quite right, I went to the Breitling outlet and they checked the watch serial number to determine the correct options available for my watch. It only gave the satin finish bracelet option so went with that... they know best, and happy to know it’s the correct fit and ‘right’ for the watch as standard. Thanks again.
