Anyone else been a fan of this guy on YouTube? He had great videos with macro shots to rival watchfinder.

Was surprised to find his whole internet presence suddenly deleted this morning, a quick google suggests he’s been caught selling fake watches;

People defend fake watches, see the recent thread on here, but the danger of them being used to con people out of huge amounts of money is worrying. If the allegations are true it also shows the power of an internet presence...

Yep, I have been steadily reading all the thread on the rolex forum , it's at 50 pages now.
Quite big news in the watch world.
A little surprised this forum has not talked much about it, being a watch forum. Its outrageous what's happened.

I have been following this also.. I rather like these Watch review characters

Bit of a storm in a teacup in my view, considering the millions and millions of watch transactions that occur every year.
Here we have a rather sad story of a chap who built up a creditable social media following on a well produced review/ expert site over 18 months. Only to self destruct by being an (allegedly) dishonourable and to be frank inept watch trader.

A salutary tale of online snowflakes. Buyers and sellers.

Nice bit of victim shaming there. I'm sure you'd be well pleased if you sent £20k to this 'trustworthy' guy and you received a fake Daytona 2 and a half months later. And you can use the word allegedly if you want to, but the evidence presented on TRF is pretty damning if you ask me. In particular the Whatsapp transcripts where he blames FedEx, a volcano erupting in NZ, the Aussie bushfire crisis, and an apparent miscarriage by his wife.

I agree there seem to hundreds of people jumping on the bandwagon to bash him, but the guy has acted like a complete tool. I actually pity the guy. He obviously has his own financial problems, possibly a gambling addiction. The allure of taking large sums of cash from multiple watch buyers to fund his activities, and in effect rob Peter to pay Paul was just too much. But, making somebody wait for a watch is one thing. Sending them a fake is another, and that's where he crossed the line.

It's hardly being a snowflake to be angry about being sold a $20,000 fake by a dealer.
