After being stuck at home for weeks I seem to have completely lost the habit of wearing a watch - probably not such a bad thing as I seem to spend most of my time gardening or working on old cars.
Didn’t realise that somehow watches for me had become like putting on a suit for work - enjoying the freedom now - no timetable, suit etc

I guess I’ve always been a bit strange in that I have a few nice watches and I feel naked if I leave the house without a watch on. It really bothers me if I’m out and I’m not wearing one.

But...pretty much the first thing I do whenever I get home is take off my watch. I just don’t wear one around the house.

I'm pretty much the same. Well I tend to remove my watch at home 8pm at night. I feel so naked without a watch on that I keep spare / back up watches in my car and at work.

Same here. Not worn mine since the 'beginning'. As it's solar powered, it stopped weeks a go.

My watch strap broke at the beginning and I haven't been able to locate a replacement yet. I do miss it.

I see the morning prep, putting on the suit, the watch, doing my hair etc as part of a ritual to mentally prepare me for the day. I am really missing the ritual and finding it harder to get my head in the game as a result. I can't wait to be able to go back to the office but as our area is impossible to social distance in, I will be working from home a good while yet.

Still, loving the money i am saving...

I stopped wearing mine, I tend to only wear them when at work or going out, round the house don't tend to bother as likely to knock/damage them.

Was working from home last week Friday-Monday so decided to get my dads Rolex out of the safe which doesn't get much wrist time, been wearing it a week now!

its a slippery slope, despite lots of love for a good watch, i now cannot wear one longer than ten minutes without it annoying me.

I'm one of the weirdos that always has one on. I take it off to sleep, and that's about it.

Never take my watch off other than to give it a quick clean - 24/7 come rain, come shine.

Cool starry bra.

I stopped wearing watches around 10 years ago. The work environment meant they had to be removed for access to customers sites and if they didn't in a manufacturing facility they ended up damaged. I always carry a phone so use that as an alternative.

In the last year or so my role has changed so watches have been extracted from the back of the drawer and seen some use. For form over function really as I cannot get out of the habit of using my phone for a time check wink

I'm one of these, never not wearing a watch.

I've been the same since I got given a Casio F91W as an unclaimed raffle prize when I was maybe 10, so over 20 years with something on my right wrist, it feels weird not wearing one.

I wear them to do whatever, can certainly confirm Rado's ceramic bracelet / case stands up remarkably well to all sorts of abuse, be it working on cars, gigging, 'going out', banging it against brick walls whilst moving house etc.

Currently have a stainless steel bracelet on and that picks up scratches very easily, especially around cars, but for me I enjoy seeing the life on the watch, I'd like something dressy from Glashutte Original in the next year or so, that will be treated with significantly more care smile

I continue to wear a watch out of habit, in fact the watch I wear to work is one that is a pain to tell the time on, you have to catch the light on the hands at the perfect angle to read it, so I just look at my phone if I need to know the actual time and I'm not using the computer with a clock constantly in the corner of the screen.

I'd love to be able to be in the position to not care about what time it is, I'm almost there on weekends currently as there's no sport or social engagements to worry about being on time for.
