Watch bracelet polishing - DIY or Recommendations
Discussion
Can anyone recommend either a DIY kit for polishing Chrome & Stainless Steel watch cases and bracelets?
Alternatively, any indication of a price for a Watch-maker or Jewellers charge for doing so?
I have matching ladies & gents Dunhill Facet and Gucci watches which although old, if they were polished up we might start wearing them again, rather than leave them in the safe.
Any recommendations of where to send them would also be most welcome.
Thanks....

Be very careful if they really are chrome-plated - you could end up with some bare brass spots.
For solid stainless cases, I have used wet-or-dry paper to remove deep scratches, followed by Solvol metal polish, and a quick wipe with Brasso.
A brushed finish can be recreated using Scotchbrite pads.
