Breitling Aerospace: Manufacturer's Servicing

I have a Breitling Aerospace circa 1996, and am considering having it serviced by Breitling before it passing it to my son in law. Other than replacing batteries, it has had no attention since I bought it. I have read somewhere that the whole internals of the watch are replaced during such a service.

If this is correct, I think it would be worth doing; however, I'd welcome comments from the Aerospace owners on here.
