I'm not a watch guy. I think my only post here so far was to find out how to replace a battery on my 10yr old GShock.
I don't follow watch threads or visit watch manufacturers' sites so I'm a tad surprised that I have suddenly been swamped with internet adverts for watches by Filippo Loreti.
Haven't heard of them before and just wondered who they were, have they been around for a while or just appeared and are they any good?

You've seen the online advert.

I was wondering if they had suddenly ramped up spending on online adverts and everone had seen them or I, by means of site visit history, had triggered more targeted attention.

Alibaba/Chinese rubbish ... with a clever and successful marketing campaign. Your money is better spent elsewhere e.g. Seiko, Citizen etc.

Reminds me of the old scam from back in the day.

One of the blokes at work came in with a couple of watches called "Giovanni Ooer" or similar.

Showed us full page ads from magazines with the watch advertised as something like 1000 quid but he only wanted 250 for them.

Turned out he got them from a "Giovanni" rep in a pub carpark who had a few "extra' in the car and he could have them for only a 100 and sell them on at a profit wobble

Absolute cheap blingy Chinese tat probably worth less than a tenner.

No takers.
