Hi all,

My mum has this old quartz omega seamster. She generally doesn't wear it, but decided to wear it today. When she tried to set the time the watch seemed to act possessed and just goes round constantly. Any suggestions on a fix? I'm assuming that the pusher has been locked down.

I'd guess it's powered by a cal1342, there is a method to them, quick google will tell you how to set the time, quite a cool old movement.

Yeah the problem isn't setting the time. The problem is that the minute hand has decided to start moving at warp speed, taking the hour hand along with it.

I think the pushers got stuck in position when she tried to set it.

Will probably be a case of just letting it tire itself out / battery to die and then see if I can find someone to service.

Id call Joe at Anglesey Watches & Clocks. Im unsure which movement you have, but Id be happy to send him mine. Speaking of which, I will shortly be sending him mine, which has a Cal.1325 15j Megaquartz movement in it.
