Panerai luminar marina help

Evening all,

I hope all is well it be.

I recently found a second hand Panerai that I’m tempted with however I’ve been trying to search up the model online in order to compare prices and I can’t find the exact type.

Can anyone help? And if so is this a wise choice for the money?

It’s a Panerai Luminor Marina. Circa 2005. One of 1500 made.

I can find similar with the 12, 3, 6, 9 numbers however this one has numbers all the way round as shown in the photos below.

Some details appear mismatched but visually it seems to be a PAM 301.

FWIW I know very little about Panerai so could be totally wrong, it's simply what I found with some searching.

The main issue is it has a date and a seconds hand, this is a waste IMHO of one of the greatest watch designs.

Explains the numbers, and whether it's really only 1500, or just 1500 in that production run, of which there could have been many.

Think it could be a PAM164. Difficult to tell from the photos

Thanks so far, it’s a tricky one. The Pam 301 seems to have been released in 2008 however the letter on the back of this one is an H which signifies 2005.

Pam 164 is plausible as I believe this to be the same as the Pam 1104 with 164 on a rubber strap and the 1104 on leather
